What is GeoPo?

GeoPo is a web service that converts geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) into short, shareable URLs. The service automatically displays maps optimized for the recipient's browser and device. GeoPo is completely free to use and requires no registration.

Famous World Landmarks as GeoPo URLs

Instead of sharing long, complex map URLs like this:
http://maps.google.co.jp/maps?q=35.658578,139.745447&lr=lang_ja&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hl=ja&z=16&iwloc=addr
GeoPo simplifies it to just this:

Simple and effective! GeoPo is perfect for character-limited platforms like Twitter, making location sharing effortless.

How to Use GeoPo

Creating GeoPo URLs

Use the form above to enter latitude/longitude coordinates and select a precision level, or simply drag the map to position the red marker at your desired location. Once set, GeoPo generates a short URL that you can copy and share anywhere—post it on Twitter, send it via email to friends, or add it to your blog.
Future versions will include Twitter client integration for seamless GeoPo sharing.

Receiving GeoPo URLs

GeoPo URLs work just like any other web link—simply click to view the location on a map.
The service automatically adapts the map display based on the user's device and browser, ensuring optimal viewing across all platforms and hardware.
Currently supported: Desktop browsers (interactive Google Maps [Example]), Japanese mobile phones (static map images [Example]), and iPhone (static images with native Maps app integration [Example]).
